Could be a Vauxhall, but that's just a wild guess. A very wild one.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

It almost looks like an ancient Bugatti to me, but I'm the last person you'd ask about cars before the 80's.

Bugattis of that era are much smaller.

not sure, but a quick DVLA look up says it's a 1924 vehicle - stragely it has no entry for make or model Which suggests it may be a custom body.

I googled on the license plate number and found nothing, so it may be a one-off.

    could be a bentley
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma

Was it definitely sold at auction? I will look further into it, because it definitely isnt a car you see everyday.

Thanks for all you help guys, i really appreciate it

no,s adly the source of the info is straight from the DVLA access systems.
So it only can tell WHEN it changed hands.

It was a stab-in-the-dark suggestion that checking 2001 auctions might id it as I dont' think its the kind of car that woudl change hands away from the auctions - unless it IS something mundane. Probably only a 30% chance it was I guess
