I rather like this one One-Off 2015 Ferrari F12 SP America Snapped in Public

    Your assumption is flawed.

Out of five current Ferrari production models, how many are designed without Pininfarina?

You're also assuming I like all of Ferrari's current production cars.

And I know that Pininfarina has left Ferrari for at least a few years now, but I've only recently put the two together...

I am fully aware of your dislike of modern Ferrari.

One more time: how many current Ferrari models were designed without Pininfarina?

And what do you mean by "Pininfarina has left Ferrari", that makes no sense whatsoever.

That being said, I am not sure... you're right about that.

So how many of them were designed by Pininfarina?

I sort of assumed all of Ferrari's designs were done by them.

Wouldn't the only non-Pinin Ferrari be the LaFerrari? Even then, I still think it looks like the P4/5 with some added 458 headlights and some tweaks.

Like Rasmus said, only LaFerrari design is an in-house job. Rest of them are done by Pininfarina.

Therefore your theory that modern Ferrari look is terrible because Pininfarina has "left" them is...well, flawed.

BTW, Ferrari has very quietly announced that it has approved the building of six Pininfarina Sergios, concept car shown at last year Geneva Motor Show. Ferrari will donate 458 mechanics and Pininfarina will build the actual cars. All of them are sold already.

However, another rumor says, that 458 successor will be another in-house design and it is likely to be evolutionary, like California T. There is little doubt that Ferrari and Pininfarina are drifting apart.

I read somewhere that Ferrari is luring its designers away from Pininfarina, which may explain why Pininfarina itself is no longer required by Ferrari.

It may also explain why cars are evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

    That is... astonishing.

I couldn't do it even if my life depended on it.

So what's going on with the whole Ferrari thing?

    They're getting an IPO?

    Floating 10% of Ferrari.

Would anyone be interested in a mid engined Corvette?

I know the idea has been floated around for around 50 years now. There certainly is room for an American supercar, the Hennessy Venom doesn't count as a supercar and don't get me started on the SSC.

Meh. It's not what a Corvette is. A Corvette is what it is now.
