    Renault Collection

I couldn´t find any previous thread on this so I post some pictures.

Quite recently I got the chance to see the Renault Collection in Flins with more than 600 cars covering most of Renaults long history. The collection is not open to public, just on invitation. First we were shown the workshop where they restore and service the cars followed by the large storage hall. A fantastic experience !

How much are the cars driven once they're restored?

    :whathesaid:

Reanult brought the 1907, the R5 MOnteCarlo and the 443B to Mount Stuart a few years back.
Not only did they start them up and drive them aroudn in the parade, the took them onto the sprint track adn really opened them up Sadly the 443 only did one lap as it was grounding for 80% of the bumpy circuit

Excellent, many of these cars come out for expositions like Retromobile, or for the Historic 24 Hours. Interesting also that the Alpine brand has been officially incorporated in the Renault history

I´m not sure that it necessarily means it's officially incorporated just because it's in the collection. They had a lot of Renault specials there, even a Lotus Europa, so... However, I think they also talk a lot about Alpine on the historic pages at the Renault homepage, so in that sense I guess it may be officially incorporated.

Our guide told us that Renault decided several years ago to bring their classics to the people, instead of having a museum. Therefor they bring several cars to several events every year.

At World series by Renault there are always several interesting Renault classics.
