Most of what's been suggested are good ideas. The GTO, and G35 aren't sedans.

Yes they are, the GTO has 4 doors and room for people and such. The G35 has 2 models, a coupe and a sedan.

the gto in the 1960's had four doors. the new one is based on the holden monaro coupe, so it has only two doors. there is seating for four, but the back seat is very small, so it best fits children.

So there is a G35 sedan. I've never seen one. But there's still no 4 door GTO.

Tell him just to go test drive a bunch of sedans and see which on he likes the best.
Acura TLs are great from what ive heard. One of the main cons to the car is its FWD.

No real cons for the Acura TL, only that it's FWD. If he liked his mid-90s FWD Acura he should love the new one. 270 hp standard engine and most everything else standard, other than NAV.
