Brand spankin' new UCP members map!

Okay, here it is, after three or so hours of work...

The rough draft and location research was done by UK CARS. I corrected a few of the locations that were accidentally put in the wrong spot, and made this hi-res satellite copy.

If you have any qualms with location or anything like that, we will probably be able to fix it for the next version. If it's only off by a little bit, don't worry about it. I would expect that most are off by a certain margin... my location on the map is off by around 100km, just because I needed to fit the names in properly.

Anyway, UK CARS and I are pretty satisfied with this so far, so we hope you guys are too.

It's a big file, by the way... 3000x1166... just wait it out, it'll be okay.

    Thanks,

    -Shawn

Very interesting to see geography of UCP members. Great job!
But about my location - move a little bit to the east. I don't live in Denmark

How about if UCP were to store this link for each member ...

    http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...t.x=6&out.y=10

This is me - zoom in more if you need/want to using the - and + icons or pick a line in betweem

( It've not done it to street level or you'd all be round here stealing my nice cars )

Hmm, friends wife works on GIS computer systems, will see if she can provide us with world map data and all we'd need would be lattitud/longtitude and she could auto-generate maps at multiple resolutions. Could save egg nog 3 hours each time .... get back to you

+1 to both Egg Nogg & UK Cars... GREAT JOB! THANKS! GUYS!

By using the most high-tech equipment/method I managed to figure out Ravimody and Hank4 are the furthest from me

Oh, forgot to mention that the "high-tech" equipment I used was a ruler and the method was do a measurment off the screen. Smart huh

you guys did a great job, however my geography skills are somewhat lacking without county borders. you may want to consider separate continent maps with country/state borders.

BTW, i'm in Ontario, Canada, around NoOne and the others
