    Saw that 166 a couple of years ago, a refreshing sight on a lawn covered in mega-restorations. It's encouraging that more and more, wealthy enthusiasts are treating their purchases the same way they would an exquisite piece of antique furniture. Things can only be original once.

    it has already been subjected to a loving restoration and ran two years ago at Uwe Meisner's trackdays at the Ring. It is now owned in Germany.

    Your photo shows it exactly as it was presented at Cavallino; surely it still has that extraordinary patina?

    yes, it does, don't what happened to it since june 2009, but let's hope for the best.

    I used to check the POTD before the last update, but since the update I don't check so often anymore because it's too far down the main page.
