    Team Ultimatecarpage.com Race 8: Donington

Next Sunday team ucp.com will race on the famous Donington track, and as the track is located in Great Britain, it will rain! With its difficult first section of the track, and the low speed corners in the end, it will be hard to keep the car under control. The Porsche always drives with a slight bit of oversteer, but in the rain, this slight bit can turn into a huge crash once out of control! I've done some testing in the rain, and comparing with others, my time is pretty much the quickest out of the current bunch. But my geuss is that you dont need to be fast in the rain, aslong as you keep your cool, and dont spin out, points will be scored easily!

Strange that whenever there is a race in Britain it is always raining. Be thankful though you dont drive at Knockhill, it will be storms!!!

Wouter will join us in the race too, he will be driving the Guest Ferrari 360 Modena

    currently driving around 1.41/1.42's

which is faster then ucp driver number 2 at the moment

ps before anybody besides Dino sees it too, this is nowhere a near perfect lap. My line is basicly screwed up because im trying to find openings near jeroen. And dont get me started on that final corner

I guess Simbin really put a lot of effort into making GTR, they even researched the climates around the world.

    Good luck guys!!

Just did a final test run on Donnington against my AI buddies and I'm pretty confident in my race pace. I'll have to improve on my one lap pace although starting at the back of the grid will advantages with this weather. My main goal is to finish and today's test proved that a single set of tires will get me through all 75 minutes, so no stops!

Good luck to roy and jeroen. Hopefully they can get a good result for Team Ultimatecarpage.com!

When it comes to tires, this will be a walk in the park. after 32 minutes, my front where worn 4, and the rears 11

the scale goes from 0 (new) to 60 (puncture)

with a worn tires message at 30.

normall races me and 2 others are the only ones driving the race without pitting, but at the end the tires are worn. In the rain however, near the end my tires will be around 10-20, meaning that i'll be able to drive my qualifiying times near the end!

very bad race on my behave, the porsche was eating more tires then expected, problably because of my faster pace. In the end it was undrivable, and on top of that i drove jeroen off the track in lap 7, because i was paying to much attention to a GT car comming to overtake us too

this also cost jeroen place number 4 in the final standings. Very bad driving by me
