I want to make it black

Well its already black but the headlights are about as bright as Miss South Carolina at the Miss America pagent. I plan on getting some super bright super white bulbs so that i may see the brave cats as they try to ambush my front bumper as i drive home from work.

but i also wanted the blacked out headlights...kinda cancels out but whatever

No aftermarkets = possible DIY? maybe? any input appreciated.

doesn't this (blacked out headlights) void your insurance? if that's an issue

You mean you want to tint the lens black? Or do you want to paint the inside casing of the headlight around the outside of the bulb housings?

Be careful with what kind of headlights you install. It is one of the first they'll check in a vehicle. If in Germany for example, your xenons are slightly too high, they(police) can pull you of the road and make you leave your car behind, or so I heard.

Night Shades spray on tint. Osram Sylvania bulbs.

DOT lighting requirements suck; I don't know what you drive but if you can get Euro-spec lighting.

Not everything...learned that the hard way =(

and the spray kinda sounds the part, but i havent seen it applied so i cant tell. Thank you for the link. As for what im looking for is the lenses to be totally black until the light needs to shine...then it lets it thru as much as it can.

Althou if i could find some euro headlights like the black euro taillights i might change my mind
