I'm sure my father used to fix these when he was a mechanic in Hong Kong.
Nice to see them.
I always welcome old Japanese cars.
BTW, what's a KE25/ TE27? (engine denominations, my guess at least?)
Also, some of the old Corollas were RWD right?

I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
My best friend had owned the 74-78 variant, the third one. it's more known as the sprinter. he would race it against eighties variants of Lancers and ford escorts.
lol, my grandma used to have an AE86. hilarious now that all the drift wannabe's pay a premium for them

Definately - Takumi tax is well and truely in effect in australia.
However - These cars, (AE86) are the modern day classics, and in the future will only appreciate higher, So In reality, finding one and holding onto it and keeping it stock as possible - you would only be gaining a future asset. one that could very well be worth 10 times what you paid for it in 10 years.

which is frankly ridiculous, considering the amount of other light RWD econocars available from the same period, it's not like the AE86 is particularly better looking either - although still cheap, the cheaper, a just as light, just as rwd datsun or gemini is the smarter buy imo.
although the TA celica's are getting expensive too shame, i hoped to pick one up cheap some day, especially after seeing one with a V8 at the japanese classic car show
