    Ascari KZ1-R 2005-2010

ASCARI KZ1R MAKES FIRST APPEARANCE IN HOLLAND

Supercar for the track on show at Auto Rai, on the Quoto stand

The KZ1R, Ascari’s new thoroughbred for the track, makes its first appearance in Holland at Auto Rai.

The KZ1R is the track-tuned version of the KZ1, the race-bred supercar for the road, of which only 50 will ever be created.

Its powerful 5.0 litre BMW based V8 engine delivers 520bhp and can reach a top speed of 200mph and goes from 0-60mph in an adrenalin pumping 3.4 seconds.

Hand-built to order at the state-of-the-art Ascari design and production facility in Banbury, the KZ1R costs around £225,000 depending on exact customer specification. Stylish, edgy and sleekly aerodynamic the KZ1R has a super-light, super-strong carbon fibre monocoque chassis and body shell weighing just 1,250kg. A front splitter and fixed rear wing add the finishing touches that turn this supercar into a track superstar. The interior is stripped to the bare bones to reduce weight even further and accommodate the integral roll cage. This is a car designed to take pole position on even the most challenging racetrack and is one to look out for in 2005.

Well it sure is a nice car. But only in combination with a lifetime permission for the Ascari race resort...

it definitely is british !Ascari used to be a company building small numbers of cars.they almost went bankrupt, and were bought by Klaas Zwart, the man of the race resort.

I even know this, while i dont even live in england...

Looks really good. One of only a few cars that if I had that kind of money, would buy

    It looks so average.

I disagree, though understand the sentiment. It does kinda look a bit 'paint by numbers supercar'. But I still think it looks good, quite monumentally so in that racer style trim. Tres bien.

fact: if u join a certain club in Spain and have a share on one of the circuits (not sure which one) you will be given this car for free...

    hows that!

oh by the way... this car cost a fortune!
