Bugatti EB 18/4 Veyron Concept 2000

yet another design and engineering study, pre 16/4 "production" Veyron

    18 - as in 18 cylinders

    4 - as in 4 turbos

however, if you go with the traditional thinking of the same number of cylinders per bank in a given "W" configured engine - I have no idea how they put 18 cylinders in to a "W" engine... anyone?

I think it's a W16 quad turbo 7993cc unit with something like 971bhp to all four wheels, I could be wrong but that's what I've heard

That's the 16/4 Veyron. This is the concept that was an 18-cylinder version.
I'm going to eat breakfast. And then I'm going to change the world.

I would assume that this is the same engine as in the 18/3 Chiron, so again 3 banks of 6, just with an extra turbo.

ok, basically you put the biggest engine possible in a car and watch it understeer under weight and power into the nearest available ditch...I'll take a FWD Renault Vel Satis (with already awful understeer, worse than a Land Cruiser Amazon),stuff their F1 engine in the back and (try) to power the front wheels with it...then I maybe in the same league as the Veyron...how do they even hope to make it handle? Even with 4WD?
