    It is the protoype BMW 507, it has chassis number 1, only number two got the Goertz designed bodies that we have come to appreciate so much.

    its not quite the same car.

    the hood scoop is slightly rounder in the picture you posted. it also has a diferent ( non existent) bumper. the windshield is also a bit different as is the front grill. the blinquers are also slightly different shape and there is a little bdge thingy missing after the side gill.

    are these modifications a reslut of some restoration or is it because its a different chassis?

    i think its still the same car, even the year of production is the same
