the vq35de engine

Howdy. My question is slightly simple and a little stupid but here it is. Can the vq35de engine be put into a 96 max. more specifically can I throw one out of a pathfinder into a my max. My engine is getting on in years as it were and I'm wanting a heart transpolant for my car. Moving up in size and power is obviously of interest and I wanna know what I can move to or if I have to get the same engine and just dress it up. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure it's possible... that engine would easily fit in the Maxima's bay, but I wouldn't say it would be worth the cost of doing so, unless you plan on doing it yourself.
