Hormann Motorsports Alfa Romeo GT

Hörmann GT 1.9JTD Multijet

The corpus of a designer model with the strength of a decathlete – that is the result of the symbiosis between the Italian art of design and the Bavarian art of tuning. The tuner from Kempten faced the challenge of ennobling the Alfa GT 1.9JTD 16V Multijet, and came up with an unbeatable package of tuning features.

Just after the presentation in the beginning of the year, the Milanese caused a stir. It was not only the classic and quite elegant form, which was created together with the school of designers, Bertone, but it were also his engines, which still enthuse the audience. Especially the 1.9 JTD 16V Multijet. Hörmann Motorsport thought so as well, and took a closer look at the engine. The result: A gain of power from 110 kW (150 HP) and 305 Nm to 124 kW (168 HP) with extraordinary 365 Nm. This was made possible by the technical know-how of the Hörmann engineers, who brought all their knowledge into this chip.

The, without any doubt felicitous mixture of elegance paired with sportiveness, is underlined by the work done on the suspension springs. Through the installation of the new suspension springs, Hörmann made it possible to lower the Alfa GT by 30 mm. Thus the handling of the Granturismo is even more sportive. But not only the lowering of the body awards the GT with a more sportive look. After the complete “Hörmann treatment”, the opponents will look at a 76 mm big double exhaust-pipe.

To bring the newly gained power efficiently on the road, Hörmann offers two types of rims with the appropriate tires. The 8 x 17 inch single casted rim HM 11, in the classical five spokes design and equipped with tires of the size 215/45 R17. HM 3 with the size 8 x 18 inch also single casted in the classical five spokes design. The fitting tires are in the dimension 225/40 R18 available.
