Edonis and Bugatti

how is the B engineering edonis related to the bugatti EB110? i know they have the same engine but do they share something more like chasis or parts etc? was the edonis made by bugatti or any of its designers? is the "B" in 'B. engineering' stand for Bugatti?

The Bugatti EB110 was a great car, but for various reasons it didn't sell that well. So there were many spare components (chassis, engines, transmissions) in the factory.
The Edonis has the same chassis as the EB110 and the same engine. I suppose other main components are the same.
B Engineering is a firm that is named after Jean Mark Borel (Co-owner of Bugatti with Romano Artioli). The team that now forms B Engineering was the "Engineering" part of Bugatti before it was bought by VW. The Edonis was manufactured in a record time of 40 days! It was always a post-Bugatti rather than a stand alone project, that's why it was produced so fast. Borel had Aerospatiale as the chassis vendor, just like the original Bugatti.
It must be said that B Engineering enjoyed the services of Nicola Materacci (spelling mistake for sure), the person behind the GTO and F40.

The Edonis was never a car to make production. It was meant to showcase B-Engineering's technical expertise and attract customers for general engineering tasks.

I think Dauer bought some years ago the rights to manufature the last few Bugatti cars. There were some cars that were half-made and several components waiting to be assembled. Also Dauer does the servicing on original Bugattis.
Dauer also has bought the rights to the Porsche 962 Road Car, and has manufactured a few examples, but I wouldn't reckon that as a Road Car, as it's heavily based on the Race car

yea, dauer bought rights and a part of eb110's assembly line and now they sell it as dauer eb110 SS

they also make dauer 962 LM, which is in fact a le mans car adapted to a road use. other cars based on 962 LM are schuppan 962CR, DP 962 and koenig C62. all of them achieve top speed of 400 km/h

back to the topic: as i heard, the guys that made EB110 wanted to make the veyron as well, but vw chose someone else instead so they decided to make their own supercar better than veyron. it's first car of 21st century, as it was presented at midnight, 1 january 2001. they wanted to sell 21 cars, but i'm not sure if they did that
