I'd take them both, but the Veyron seems like your luxury supercar. I mean, its got a freaking diamond in the console!
But I would take them both given the chance as collectables. |

The Veyron certainly sounds great at full chat
![]() Apart from that it is rubbish. Overdone styling inside and out. Sledgehammer engineering with no finesse - as much power as possible to make it go fast, then 4wd and a raft of electronics to keep that power from throwing the car off the road (which obviously doesn't work - given the nubmer of times development cars have hit things) Style over substance - clearly demonstrated by the fact that they suddenly realised the design they came up with couldn't actually stay on the ground at 250mph or keep the engine and gearbox cool. The Enzo is also a poor attempt at a supercar. Without the trick electronics I suspect it would be complete rubbish. Playstation controls - press "O" to turn off traction control - L1 changes up, R1 changes down etc... and by all accounts about as interesting to drive as a playstation game. I've read several reports complaining of poor feedback, ride, lack of driver involvement etc. Their thinking was obviously "lets make an F1 car for the road" clearly forgetting that F1 is the pinnacle of boredom. A supercar should be an exquisitely refined piece of exceedingly clever engineering and design - not just a VAG executive's wet dream or a load of carbon fibre and electronics lashed together. Pagani and Koenigsegg seem to be the only companies following that philosophy.

I think that all cars are going towards the playstation generation. Using all the electronical possibilities to make the cars better. This is because most of the people that are buying cars now were part of the playstation generation.

I chose the Veyron, not because it looks better or is faster, I think that in this very exclusive market the Veyron will be more exclusive and be coveted by collectors .... and collectors - Jay Leno aside - don't drive them, they display the cars with engine details and tech highlights displayed on a plaque while the car rotates on mirrors with lights flashing.
Veyrons will not be driven, IMHO, and will probably earn a legendary reputation as the fastest road car (circa 2005) that never turned a wheel on a public road. I have to agree with Cov concerning Koenigsegg and Pagani. But it would be between these 2 (even Ferrari for the F430) that would end up with my money if I were in the market .... hell I mgiht even look into a used car .... McLaren F1 would be nice.
