With that said, do I say the Zonda sucks, no. Just because a car is the fastest or the most powerful does not mean it sucks. Just because you do not like something means it sucks. I have had a great time hanging out with people with everything from XJ220 to an Enzo. They do not sit there going your car sucks. They enjoy seeing the character of each car. It is fun to see how different manufactures approach making a car.

I think highly of Pagani and I hope Koenigsegg gets their car more refined so that it can be more then a straightline car. Not to say the Koenigsegg is awful through the turns, it just appears based on tests and reviews that the McLaren F1 and Enzo are better overall cars.

How the Veyron stacks up against the Koeingsegg and Zonda is unknown right now. It appears the Veyron is faster in terms of top speed. How well it handles is hard to say. The fit and finish looks good from what I could tell when I saw a Veyron last week.

I think before you say something sucks, you should check the facts.

Sorry if I allowed him to pull this thread off track. I just thought the Enzo and Veyron suck comment was very over the top and since he keeps pushing Koieng and Pagani I thought I would try to make a point of how if Enzo sucked so does Koeing and Pagani.

Over at The Car Experience site I see they show the Veyron costing
Price: 1,290,000 Euros / $ 1,590,000 usd
http://www.thecarexperience.com/ASS/6/Veyron.Red.htm

The production run is targeted at 300 units. If McLaren could not sell 300 F-1s which cost less the Veyron, it makes you wonder if they will ever reach the 300 units target. People claim the economy is picking up, but with so many great cars out there to buy, I can see many who have the money, saying I can buy a Zonda and S7 Twin Turbo for the price of a Veyron. There are so many combinations of great cars you could buy for the price of one Veyron.

Apart from that it is rubbish.

Overdone styling inside and out.

Sledgehammer engineering with no finesse - as much power as possible to make it go fast, then 4wd and a raft of electronics to keep that power from throwing the car off the road (which obviously doesn't work - given the nubmer of times development cars have hit things)

Style over substance - clearly demonstrated by the fact that they suddenly realised the design they came up with couldn't actually stay on the ground at 250mph or keep the engine and gearbox cool.

The Enzo is also a poor attempt at a supercar. Without the trick electronics I suspect it would be complete rubbish.

Playstation controls - press "O" to turn off traction control - L1 changes up, R1 changes down etc... and by all accounts about as interesting to drive as a playstation game. I've read several reports complaining of poor feedback, ride, lack of driver involvement etc.

Their thinking was obviously "lets make an F1 car for the road" clearly forgetting that F1 is the pinnacle of boredom.

A supercar should be an exquisitely refined piece of exceedingly clever engineering and design - not just a VAG executive's wet dream or a load of carbon fibre and electronics lashed together.

Pagani and Koenigsegg seem to be the only companies following that philosophy.
ditto

I wouldn't mind having a Veyron or Enzo, but I'd take the Enzo seeing as it's cheaper and most likely faster around a track. But, if it really came down to it, then the Pagani Zonda F Clubsport with the unpainted carbon-fibre body wins.
