    Hopefully NOT.

One of the WORST Volvo's ever produced

Came from the DAF design/development teams after Volvo bought them up in the 70s.

well, can you be more specific about this being one of the worst?

terrible handling, mediocre performance and not particularly strong either mechanically or structurally.
Became an embarrasment for Volvo in the UK,
The 480 whilst I liked the look was NOT a very sporty car at all.

IMO they'd have done better retaining the DAF name on the range and it migh not have seemed so bad. But as a Volvo they didn't come up to the rest of the marque of the time. ( kind of like Chevrolet selling the Daewoos today, NOT a good thing form them to try to bulid brand recognition )

In terms of performance compared to the DAF/Volvo 66 it was a great improvement.

Speaking of 66, do you have any hi-res pics of it, even non media? Most of Volvo media sites seem to ignore existance of it. I only have one and it's 1024x768, media photo.

It had a large rubber band in the transmission. How about that. A reputation for an oldgitmobile in the UK. Middle-of-the-road, flat-cap-wearing eejits.
