can someone clear this up for me?
Acura SLX = Holden Jackaroo = Isuzu
Acura = Honda
Holden = GM
Isuzu = GM
So why is this "acura SLX" a Honda, when its clearly an Isuzu, which is a GM?

i think they used to do some sort of parts sharing in the past (the cars sucked though) like the Honda Passport and the isuzu rodeoOriginally Posted by ExoticCarSite

Isuzu sold Honda models in Japan, Civic and Accord badged as Isuzu. Also is quite common in States to do this sort of thing. Nissan Quest=Mercury Villager, Toyota Corolla=Chevrolet Prizm, Toyota Matrix=Pontiac Vibe. Ford and GM don't own these companies.Originally Posted by ExoticCarSite

It was a deal between honda and isuzu. Isuzu got to sell the Honda Odyssey as the Oasis, while Honda sold the Rodeo as the Passport, and the Trooper as the Acura SLX. Toyota needed a truck in the market at the time.

It's when car makers can't be bothered/don't have the money to make a new model. Generally lack of application is the case.Originally Posted by dracu777
