Aston Martin V8 Vantage Shooting Brake 1999

    An exclusive rarity

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Shooting Brake by Roos Engineering (1999)
Roos Engineering near Bern in Switzerland have been associated with Aston Martin ever since they first became official dealers in 1975. The V600 specification Vantage Shooting Brake is the first major coachbuilding project that has been undertaken by the Swiss firm and has been done with the full co-oration of Aston Martin Lagonda back in the UK.
The design and construction has been almost entirely the work of Roos in Switzerland and was in response to a customer request and is described as the fastest and most powerful shooting brake on Earth.

I think it looks like a badly riced aftermarket station wagon... And that's a positive thing!!!

Help me out here, please - can anyone tell me exactly what the term "shooting brake" means? It's pretty obvious what they do to the car, but why call it that? What's the history behind it? Thanks for any info.

This is a very light explanation. Usually a shooting break is a modification made on a luxury coupe, most of the time retaining the 2 doors. Its primary usage was for the well-off to have a place to carry their hunting equipment. If you want to read the whold explanation you can try this link:
