If anyone has seen this months Motor mag you would have seen and read about the new VE. And finally some real uncovered pics to look at.

Some things about the VE. They claim the new Rear is a 5 link system that even surpasses Mercedes-Benz.
Front is still McPherson strut with a BMW-esque lower control arm.
They also have said the VE cost's $2300 more per car then the VZ. Maybe why they went looking for cheaper parts for it?.
They also say the VE will have the LS2 but after the fuel prices going up they will lean towards better fuel economy and revise it's power. Which they also go on to say HSV will be getting big power increases.
Quad exhaust's for the LS2. Twin for the SV6. Also as a shock Holden is belived to have a Single Turbo V6 in plan for the VEII. Also Six Cylinder turbo diesel sourced from Isuzu is on the cards.
The SS will ride on 18" Rims still and HSV will option 20" rims.
Whish i had a scanner to get some of these pics up this front Guard Bulge is huge.

And here is the biggest news some Ford people might be cheesed a bit.
Holden will offer in it's Higher Specification V8's (SS Statesman caprice Calais) The same ZF Six speed Auto in the BF.

looks good. very cadillac front 3/4 panel, with the straight line that goes all the way through.

The back lights look VERY torana concept like.

The wheel arches look awesome too.

if you can see past the black tape crap, its Ok, i wouldnt go as far as saying great, but its an improvement. The quad pipes thing is over the top in my opinion, but then again its 6.0L. Im not at all cheesed off about the 6 speed auto, lol just another advancment to the commo. i guess. Im not a fan of the short-ish rear end and they've copied some key styling cues from other cars. And yer, you can now see the similarity between the 380 and VE, the angular side windows give it away.

Im hoping that the next falcon will incorporate a smaller body, less, very less weight and larger engine. I hope the GTS returns, and the GT-HO, then we have ourselves one hell of a rivalry

lol i was expecting a bit of a change in the exterior design..wtf it looks too similar to the VY/Z...basic architecture is nice but i dont know what they are doing with the front and rear...motor even thought the front lights were a carry over at first!! lol..

Shouldn't we wait until it's ready for show and tell? It's a little hard to fully judge it now it's just pics and some little specs.

wait till its revealed. To me, it looks very different from the VZ. Just look at the rear. its totally changed.

Over the years from VN to VZ the rear boot seemed to get smaller and smaller and higer. I couldnt fit a bike in there no way but i could in a VB but not in my VP.

Its definately different...just the basic shapes of the front/ rear light housings look similar...whether that will change or not...meh

LOL In the pics the lights looks like they are going to fall out I don't think they will be on it.
But the Torana lights didnt seem to make a show on it like they said.

Also as a shock Holden is belived to have a Single Turbo V6 in plan for the VEII.
