RX-7 vs Supra

i get u.actually, im a circuit guy, not 1/4 mile.hate the 1/4, like u said, the world is made of bends.im just talkin bout d supra's ability to develop huge power, but remember, huge power also counts on circuits, does it not?im sure u agree. in most races i see with skylines and supras, skylines always leave them standing, then they try to catch up. the rx7 is lighter and im a huge fan of great power to weight ratio.hav problem with the fuel consumption of the rx tho. wat say ye?

The RX-7 is a better car all around. If you have enough money and time on your hands, buy a Supra, add a giant turbo (or two), then it's likely you'll blow your car up because you didn't think the whole thing through. Just look at Nick Hogan, the story talks for itself.........

supra by far. i havent lost to a rx7 yet. i have had many street races and 1/4 mile races with stock and moddified rx7 and i havent lost. rx7 are fast if u the only one in there but if u had a full car load it doesnt have as much torqe like the supra and its much more slower. the supra just as fast with a full car load thanks to its torqey 6 cylinder engine

yes, clearly street races being the best way to compare cars... and 1/4 mile drag racing being the only performance criteria.
supra's are by no means bad around a track, when modded, but the RX-7 is a much better platform.. 50/50 weight distribution, lighter weight etc etc.
if i wanted to go fast in a straight line, i would have bought a V8 i guess.

the guy claimed increasing the angle of the diffuser had a positive effect on track times - their times on saturday were faster than friday's!
myself and Evaded refrained from pointing out that lap times do tend to drop once, you know, the driver gets used to the track he's never driven before, and simply backed away slowly..
