    Fiat 500 Giardiniera

Introduced in 1960, this was an estate version of the popular 497cc-engined Fiat 500 with a stretched wheelbase and a horizontally mounted engine.
The cute estate had a power output of 22 bhp and a maximum speed of 61mph.
327000 Giardinieras were produced between 1960-1977.

Was this car inspired by the Mini? They look and are of a similar design.

Guess not. It's just a estate based on the normal Fiat 500. You know the Fiat 500, right?

well, the name translates as gardiner, so it was obviously meant to carry lawn mowers and that sort of stuff....

Never seen a Fiat 500 in person but am familiar. However, the Mille-Cento (1100) was quite common when I was growing up.

Are they sure about putting more ppl in this car will not cause it to break down? My friend's dad has a regular 500 and it can barely go uphill.

It's still just a 4 seater so it takes as many people inside as a normal 500.
