    Chevrolet Super StepSide

    Chevrolet Super StepSide

    From Superstepside.com -
My name is Donald Lee Fuselier, builder of the Super Stepside Truck. I am originally from Mamou, Louisiana, and I've been doing construction work in Orlando, Florida for the past sixteen years.

Even though this unique, award winning Super Stepside Truck looks like it's been created by someone with twenty years experience, I am new to the kit car business.

Several years ago I met a gentleman from South Africa with experience in boat building and prototype automotive work. The project got started during a casual conversation when we were discussing how much I liked the lines on the Step Side Chevy trucks in our construction company. I mentioned that I would like to build a kit that had the look of a Step Side El Camino. We agreed that the kit should be simple and engineered well enough so that the average handyman could install it, and able to use an affordable donor car.

The printable manual shows the step-by-step photos of the construction process how to prepare the chassis and mount the four piece fiberglass kit.

Not only is the kit easy to install and economically priced, the dramatic lines also guarantee that you will be driving a thoroughly unique vehicle that can upstage a Viper or the new Chevy SSR at a car show. ( We know because we have! )

The Super Stepside Truck kit was named one of the top 9 best new kits by Kit Car Magazine.

The original Super Stepside truck has won at several national shows and has been featured in numerous major magazines.

Joe Greeves’s Super Stepside truck has been featured in several magazines and was a hit at S.E.M.A. 2004

this i can deal with for the fact that it has low-rider style, however, the rice kinda kills that. it might be something i might, might want, but that ugly steering wheel has got to go.another reason, is that its too "blingy" for my taste.

They couldve used better headlights than the Malibu's and thee tailights of the corvette, looks like for a new project they just threw together a bunch of leftover parts. They couldve done better.

A little too ricey and derivative (like the Vette taillights), but overall, it's a good idea. I've hoped for a long time that Chevy would bring back the El Camino.

its a little too cross-modeled.. too many cars went into it.. too much of a good thing[remolding with a dif. car] can take away from a show car i think..
