AC Cobra Le Mans 39 PH

Le Mans Cobra (39 PH) To headline H&H February 2006 Ssale

One of the most famous and desirable of all AC Cobras has been secured for H&H’s February 2006 sale. Known the world over by its registration number (39 PH), it was entered by the factory for the 1963 Le Mans 24 Hour race, where it duly won the GT III category and finished 7th overall in the hands of Ninian Sanderson and Peter Bolton. It was then procured by John Willment for ‘Gentleman Jack’ Sears to drive, at which time its pale metallic green paint was replaced with the distinctive red body and white stripes of the Willment team – the livery it has retained to this day.

Sears achieved many notable successes with the car and it remains one of the most original of all competition Cobras. Estimate: £700,000-800,000.

A lot of auction houses chop their press releases. As long as they don't chop the car itself, I don't see what the problem is. I don't think the value of that car will go down because they superimposed it on a different background.

yes it is a nice car,but it's a bad picture IMO....I don't think it would of been that hard to take that car to a local mountains and take some real pictures.

The problem is that the chop has such a poor quality that it ruins the beauty of the car

Also, H&H take hefty commision from £700,000 so spending few hundred quids to decent photography shouldn't be a problem.

In addition, UCPers are used to pics with highest quality (from WM & crew )

That is why some of us are b**ching.
