Sale results of the 'Dubai Motorshow': $27,3 millon of car sales!

The Dubai Motorshow as from december the 12th till the 16th. And some of the brands can be very satisfied...

Pagani sold one of their Zonda's and BMW sold all the cars they had on the stand in Dubai (incl. a Mini). Lamborghini sold a Murciélago Roadster, a Gallardo Spyder and a Gallardo Coupé.

But perhaps most satisfied was Bugatti. They managed to sell 6 (!) Veyrons. Also a very happy man is without a doubt the boss of Coach West. They sell limo's and armoured cars. The brand got around 50 new jobs.

The total worth of all sales is around 23.000.000 euro / 27.305.600 USD / 15.617.000 Pounds

Would you mind about giving me the Zonda as a christmas present?

Somewhere in South America
They are not only rich but also very exotic car oriented (both production and aftermarket). Monaco streets pale in comparison.

I wonder why? Is it just because they have tons of excess cash?

I'm guessing second hand cars should be very cheap so the depreciation toll must be huge.

Makes you wonder what's going to happen if you want a spare part or a component.

Owner: Hello, I'd like a spark plug please
BUgatti: That will be $10,000 sir.
Owner: uh, OK, I also need a rear light and wing please - had a bump.
Bugatti: The wing is $500,000 but you'r in luck we've a special offer on the lights and it will only be $100,000

The ultimate bundled loss-leader and they will no doubt NOT repeat that level of loss on the spares

I'd like them all crashed. I'd consider it a face lift.
