    Supercars Limited Hulme.F1 Champion 1967

    Supercars Limited Hulme.F1 Champion 1967

(from Supercars Limited Press Release) It is Denny Hulme's success which has motivated Supercars Limited to make a New Zealand supercar in his honor.

For the last two years the Hulme.F1 has been developed in secrecy, but now the company is ready to tell the world what it has been creating.

Since the onset of the project, the concept of the Hulme.F1 supercar has been a mid engine design with a high-tech powertrain and chassis that gives the driver the feeling of driving a Formula One Car on the road.

The car features a modified BMW M5 engine joined to a specially designed transaxle, wrapped in a carbon fiber body.

Coordinating the design team is Tony Parker, Associate Professor and head of the Industrial Design department at Massey University.

''New Zealand has established a reputation for building the best yachts in the world. I believe we also have the technical capabilities and the industrial infrastructure to create a quality, hand built performance car,'' says Parker.

Where did I say it was new? The whole point of the hide-out is to have as many high-res images of as many different cars as possible, old or new.

This car would cost around half a million NZ dollars if it made it to production. That's almost enough to buy an Lamborghini LP640, which is under $600k. So what would you prefer?
