    (from Startech Press Release) Exclusive tuning for the new Chrysler Crossfire Roadster is now available from STARTECH ( www.startech.de ). The customization program offers powerful engine tuning, a custom-tailored 19/20-inch tire/wheel combination with sporty suspension kits, an aerodynamic-enhancement package and attractive interior options.

    The open two-seater is normally powered by a 3.2-liter V6 engine with 218 hp / 160 kW. STARTECH offers four different tuning stages for this engine. The STARTECH ST6 performance kit with two sport cams and special valve springs increases power output of the six-cylinder to 233 hp / 171 kW.

    An additional STARTECH sport exhaust system and metal catalysts turn this kit into the STARTECH ST6 S performance kit with 243 hp / 179 kW at 5,800 rpm.

    STARTECH offers the proven method of increasing power output by increasing displacement also for the Crossfire. In addition to the STARTECH 3.8 increased-displacement engine with 280 hp / 206 kW the STARTECH 3.8 S engine represents the top-of-the-line.

    A custom crankshaft with longer stroke, precision-balanced piston rods, larger pistons and an increased bore facilitate the increase in displacement to 3.8 liters. The three-valve heads of the six-cylinder engine are precision machined and fitted with custom camshafts. Two high-performance metal catalysts, a sport exhaust system with front and rear muffler and the precise calibration of the engine management system complete the elaborate conversion.

    The STARTECH 3.8 S increased-displacement engine offers exemplary smoothness and environmental friendliness combined with excellent performance: Rated power output jumps from standard 218 hp / 160 kW to 300 hp / 220 kW at 5,750 rpm. Even more important for increased driving fun is the increase in torque: The STARTECH 3.8 S engine produces a peak torque of 395 Nm.

    Thus equipped the tuned roadster sprints from rest to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 255 km/h.

    The fully stainless-steel STARTECH sport exhaust system is also available without engine tuning.

    The absolute highlight of the STARTECH tuning program for the Chrysler Crossfire is the conversion to a STARTECH 6.1 eight-cylinder increased-displacement engine with 426 hp / 313 kW at 5,400 rpm and a peak torque of 621 Nm at 4,100 rpm. It propels the roadster to a top speed of 300 km/h.

    STARTECH lends the open two-seater even more driving dynamics with a custom-tailored tire/wheel combination and suspension modifications calibrated to the use of these wheels. The front axle is fitted with multi-piece STARTECH Monostar V multi-spoke wheels in size 8.5Jx19 with Pirelli tires in size 225/35 ZR 19. In the rear size 9.5Jx20 wheels with 255/30 ZR 20 high-performance tires provide maximum traction.

    The STARTECH suspension engineers developed sport springs that lower the ride height by some 25 millimeters and a comfortable sport suspension as the perfect complement for the Crossfire Roadster.

    The STARTECH aerodynamic-enhancement parts for the Crossfire add visual highlights and offer aerodynamic efficiency: The STARTECH front spoiler gives Coupe and Roadster a more striking face and more passing prestige: The part also reduces lift on the front axle, which optimizes directional stability at high speeds. The front of the Crossfire can be further refined with the STARTECH chrome strips for the radiator grille.

    The sides of the Chrysler two-seater are upgraded with strikingly styled STARTECH side gills and chrome-design mirror housings.

    The rear of the Crossfire Roadster can be refined with the two-piece STARTECH rear diffuser for the production apron and with the STARTECH rear spoiler, which deploys together with the production spoiler.

    STARTECH also offers exclusive interior options for the Crossfire Roadster: Among them are brushed stainless-steel sill plates with illuminated STARTECH logo, an ergonomically shaped STARTECH sport steering wheel and high-quality STARTECH velour floor mats. Especially sporty highlights are added with silver exposed-carbon applications for the center console and the door panels. Additional exclusive STARTECH accessories are pedal pads, emergency brake lever, door-lock pins and an illuminated shift knob, all made from aluminum.

    Another exclusive STARTECH specialty for the Crossfire is the stylish integration of a VDO Dayton MS 4200 RS navigation system into the cockpit.

    Upon customer request the company-own STARTECH upholstery shop creates exclusive fully leather interiors from Mastik leather, an especially soft and breathable type of leather that is also highly durable.

    The STARTECH suspension concept for the STARTECH Coupe V8 6.1 also comprises custom-tailored tire/wheel combinations with 19- and 20-inch staggered tires.     The STARTECH high-performance brake system features six-piston aluminum fixed calipers and 355-mm vented and cross-drilled discs on the front axle in combination with 300-mm discs and four-piston aluminum fixed calipers in back. This system offers maximum stopping power and maximum endurance at all times.

    The high speeds attained by the STARTECH Coupe V8 6.1 necessitate optimum aerodynamic efficiency. To reduce lift on the front axle and to give the coupe even more passing prestige STARTECH designers and aerodynamics engineers developed a front spoiler attached to the stock bumper.

    The STARTECH side sills provide an optimal aerodynamic transition between the front and rear wheelhouses.

    Lift on the rear axle is minimized by the STARTECH diffuser inserts for the stock rear bumper, a STARTECH roof spoiler and the STARTECH rear spoiler, which deploys together with the stock rear spoiler.

    Exclusive interior design is another STARTECH specialty. In addition to its performance the STARTECH Coupe V8 6.1 also offers a special ambiance in the cockpit. The company-own upholstery shop created a custom bi-color leather interior crafted from especially soft yet durable black and azure blue Mastik leather.

    STARTECH applications from handmade silver exposed carbon for dashboard, center console, door panels, shift knob and emergency brake lever add sporty highlights, as does the ergonomically shaped STARTECH sport steering wheel with airbag.

    Brushed stainless-steel sill plates with illuminated STARTECH logo also add exclusive character as do the high-quality STARTECH velour floor mats, the STARTECH cargo cover with partition netting. In addition a VDO Dayton MS 4200 RS navigation system was also integrated stylishly in the two-seater's interior.

    The STARTECH Coupe V8 6.1 is being hand-built in an exclusive small-series production run. Prices start at 137,000 Euros.
