The 1980's...

I just was playing GTA- Vice City, and I realized how much fun it would have been to live in the 80's. We're talking pinks, yellows, purples, light blues, and all sorts of tacky stuff. Sure the clothes were weird, but that's what makes it so fun! Imagine, a sunny day in Miami. You get out of your mansion, with your best light violet suit on, get into your white testarossa, pop the clutch, and roar down the street. You go to a dance club, and dance your troubles away, then you meet a girl while she's doing a line, and take her for a ride! On the way you're listening to gloria estafan! You jam it up in your bedroom filled with leopard skin prints, then go out and repeat! It's so awesome!

Oh come on all you old guys, you remember! It must have been awesome in so many ways!

In the 1980s there were no video games to confuse the reality with.

That might be, but your psychosis is no video game either.

yes...nothing like that 1980's Depression...
Not to mention style was just plain scary... Cars were big square ugly boxes (except for supercars which have allways been...well... super)

No... i definatly would not have liked to live in the 80's...at least not here where i live, maybe the 80's were better in the rest of the world... but here...they stank!

Huh? Do you get a BBQ when you want sushi?

The 80s were great regarding music, But regarding fashion; oh my, run hide your photos. simply awful! Thank god we didn't have digital cameras do document every weird outfit. It never ceases to amazes my how many 80s songs get redone every year...

As for 6speed's miami vice fantasy, well... wake up! Nevertheless, I had a great time in the eighties being in high school.

I think it would have been a great time to be around if you were Crockett and Tubbs

But let's not forget that Vice City is quite cartoony and far-fetched- some period details (big hair, big shoulderpads and makeup on men!) are retained...

I'd go just to experience it. But live there? No.

Given the chance to have my own Vice City (with cheats ) I'd love it.

Probably a good thing in the long run, terrible flashbacks and the like

I've always thought if there was one decade i had to eliminate from the 20th century it would be the 80's...

True about the videogames to confuse with reality...Those who play WoW will understand.
80's in Australia were all about beer and handle-bar moustaches coupled with short shorts. Sadly...my SOSE teacher has his decades confused, and never left the 80's.
