According to R&T the Aero speeds are taken from wind tunnel tests and not real life

Any idea if/when they are doing proper tests in the real world on accepted tests tracks using agreed procedures ? ( It's got quite a high Cd*frontal to push 250+mph )

Unfortunately the SSC site is very basic, featuring a few images, a few vids and some specs and that's pretty much it. There's no information on the testing itself or of any future testing plans.

Unfortunately this is a repost, Vaigra.

EDIT: Apparently its not a repost at all since the other thread was deleted! Apologies.

there's the aero and the ultimate aero. the ultimate's got 1046 hp at 6950 rpm and 821 lb-ft of torque at 6200 rpm. they're estimating 273 mph from this thing, key word being estimating.

273mph is bullshit ... fact. And this must be old ... none of the record breaking times are records. The Ultima GTR does 0-100-0 in 9.8 seconds.

the car isnīt old but itīs claims seem to be just PR stunt (as seen many times before by very small companies). and it looks rather hideous.
a very fast (top speed and acellaration wise) car that looks good as to be de CCR or the Veyron!!!

It couldn't even run at the SSCC, because it couldn't get enough air in to run the engine, IIRC it was only making less than 20% of its power
