    Aston Martin DBS V12 2007-2012

Gaydon, 4 May 2006: Aston Martin has unveiled the new DBS which will be driven by James Bond, the legendary British secret agent, in the next 007 film, “CASINO ROYALE”, to be produced by Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for EON Productions.
In true Bond style, specific details of the new DBS remain top secret, although Aston Martin Design Director, Marek Reichman, said: “This car encapsulates a link between our elegant DB9 road car and the powerful DBR9 race car. It signals an evolutionary development of Aston Martin’s world renowned style and elegance.
“While hinting at our future design direction, the DBS also has very clear links with our heritage – it is instantly recognisable as an Aston Martin.”
Aston Martin Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez added: “The DBS continues our proud and lengthy association with James Bond.
“The DBS is not of the understated elegance of a DB9, nor the youthful agility of the V8 Vantage. It is explosive power in a black tie and has its own unique character which will equal that of James Bond.”
Starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, “CASINO ROYALE” is scheduled for release in November, 2006.

Hot damn! I like, I like a lot! So is this going to be a higher spec (power, suspension tune, brakes, weight) of the DB9 to replace the Vanquish at the top of the AM range, or just a limited edition with a Vanquish replacement coming?

I think the Vanquish will be similar to this.

I hate it when they say "it is instantly recognisable as an Aston Martin"... it looks pretty much exactly the same as the DB9!!

They should add on the end of "it is instantly recognisable as an Aston Martin" - 'although you'll be stumped trying to work out which one....'

Sad, seems like the boys from AM has lost imagination. It's a disgrace if this turns out to be the Vanquish replacement!

Yuk, that thing is hideous compared to the DB9. It looks like some moron gangsta rapper got hold of a DB9 started pimping it.

I hope this gets blown to 10.000 pieces int he movie, which will most likely suck anyway, regardless of this crappy car.

If this is the direction in which AM is going i hope they go bankrupt ASAP.

My rant about all Astons looking the same that I started in the DB9 Sports Pack thread still holds its own. At least we get a manual gearbox...

    Why ?

The first thing I thought when I saw that sketch was,

    "Holy $#!%, a British Viper!!"

Now I just saw it and thought

    "Holy $#!%, another DB9!!"

the interior is soo increibly hot..my only discomfort lies within the design of the seats..but this car is a beauty regardless..
