quick GT4 question
When you eventually get the racing suspension, you get to set toe. On the slider you can set it to +4 to -4 I believe. What exactly is the sign convention for those? Is toe-in + or -? PC such parameter is usally called Toe-in, and if you set it as negative, it is then actually setting it to toe-out.

Negative toe (also known as castor angle) is generally all you need. It's used in high power cars to make sure wheels run straight when they're under load. So, if you have a rear wheel drive, set about -1 - -2 on the rear wheels; possibly on the front to a lesser degree if it's a high powered 4WD car.

Castor haas nothing to do with toe, they are almost completely unrelated. Castor only applies to the front wheels. negative toe (toe in) helps feep the car stble in straights and less prone to spinning out or sliding in the turns

You're thinking of camber I think - what you've described isn't really toe or camber.

no, no, no. I know the diferrences in the 3. It is funny though, how they can all have somewhat similar effects. When the front end of the two rear tires (assuming rear drive) are pointed inwards and on straights push the car into a staighter path, while doing just about the same thing in turns, wich make it harderto slide and spin out.

I KNOW what toe is, I just want to know the sign convention in GT4...
And toe and caster are unrelated. Caster gives camber compensation on steered wheel and gives you some addes self alignment to return steered wheel to straight ahead position, thus helping stability, while toe is just alignment when viewed from the top....
