Yamaha made F1 motors? I'd never heard that before? Which teams used them and how long ago did they stop?
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death...

In 1993 the Tyrrell F1 team signed a 4 year deal with Yamaha....it never was very successful.

Yamaha is a very diverse company...amongst making boat motors etc. as you might expect them to... they also made the intake system on the Ford Taurus SHO V6 which you might not expect.

Oh I know they build all sorts of stuff. The VVTL-i heads on the Toyota 2ZZ-GE, the engine which powers the S2 Exige/Elise 111R, were built by Yamaha for Toyota.

Not just the intake system on the SHO, but the Heads as well... and not just the V6, but the later V8, too.
