Talking falcon 500 & FPV GTHO Thread

Wow you guys are truely amazing, merit should be handed generously. I come here occassionally to get a broad spectrum on all the happens and feedback that is BLUE OVAL.

Only to get bored in the middle of a thread by the ego battering or something of you 2 pitting wills against each other. At times it just seems a race to see who can reach 5000 posts before the other.

So now I just come here for the comic relief of it all to see who may have scored more brownie points against the other

Cool as...... keep up the good work. The Fordforums site may be a god awefull slow site 99% of the time but at least there is a variety in the posts
Maybe you should put thought to starting your own Sub forum off the Aussy cars thread " FPVGTHO VS Facon500 thoughts and opinions"

LOLOLOL thanks for the laughs, will drop back soon to see who got to 6000 posts first LOLOLOL or if you have start your own sub forum...

Cheers again have fun

Rather ironic post actually. Despite FPVGTHOs and Falcon500s high production rate of posts, from my experience, they rarely post crap. I do not neccessarily get into their in depth Ford discussions but whenever I read them they are generally factually based and at least display an understanding of their topics. From reading your post I can only assume your area of expertise is in occasional derision.

well my thoughts exactly. for a moment there i thought he joined before the revision of the rep system which gave all new members 10 starting points, but november 2003 was when he joined and i think he wouldve just gotten in. i dont think he got away with no negative ratings though and hes on 0 so i guess he made it in and got 10 to start with

Hey thats cool I dont actually think my post mentions that they post crap, I have merely mentioned that I get bored by there ongoings. I dont dispute there factually based coments either and yes there understanding of there topics is good.

My real intention is to bring light to the fact that a lot of the threads here sooner or later end up being a tic tac toe , back and forth commentry between the two.

That it makes me laugh and i have clearly stated the fact, and no derogitry comments against either except my view that it may be an ego battering or post comp between the 2 of them, does not mean any previous post i have made will be the same as the first post in this thread , or that "my expertise is in occasional derision" ................. " Lost the plot on this one" ? Nah its just my view just like anyone else's except it is just is not about cars.... eg I like Gt stipes or Dont.

Dont see this as a personal attack on either you "crisis" or the two aforemention thread named persons. Its merely my opinion, what these 2 do is there own beeswax....... "HI GUYS"........ I merely state the fact that the threads get a little boring occasional when its only them posting to and fro.

The forum is fine , topics etc etc , I still visit and look about - have a read, and a lot of the topic/ threads are good.

Hope this aleviates any misconceptions

You seem like a reasonable person. I may have overreacted. From time to time people drop in and post seemingly inflammatory comments with the intention of causing a bit of controversy. Thats fine. I actually enjoy a verbal joust. The guys in question do, as you say, get involved in protracted conversations however I will give them the benefit of the doubt with regards to the "ego" thing as I beleive they are truly "car nuts". I will reiterate that they rarely if ever devolve into slinging matches or "did not, did so" arguments.
There are hundreds (thousands?) of threads on this site. Some of them are boring. I dont read them. There are enough of interest so thay it makes no difference to me. What I have seen of other sites is invariably examples of the worst posts here. I dont bother with them.

i think what happens is just over time the conversations just keep straying further and further away from the topic of a thread until its just a normal social conversation.

Meh its very hard totalk solidly about the one thing for along time...gets rather dull...and sometimestheprogression into a conversation is very slow and it only dawns on you after about 30 posts that your not talking about thesubject

by which time its too late and you dont care anymore so you just keep with the flow. i think the furthest off topic its gotten is to late night SBS, and even then there was still other people from you and mee adding their 2c to the conversation
