888 i think will walk away with it. Sandown's got alot in common with Adelaide, alot of 90 degree corners and the back straight is alot like Adelaide as well. SBR in past years have dominated both tracks, and 888 were with them last year. This year they won it without a challenge from SBR, so by that reasoning theyre definately favourites.

Lowndes and Whincup... Skaifey next... Has there been an announcement about the controversial holden pairings been made yet? Last I heard they were going to go back on the earlier decision and not allow the two holden teams to swap their drivers...

I dont think all the teams have been able to agree, but they might get it disallowed for next year.

It seems most people though are more ticked off that its TW doing it, and theyve dealt with how he works before, rather than the fact Tander and Skaife are 2 top line drivers.

There were some great drives out there today. Lowndes unlapping himself with the help of the safety car, Bright and Kelly towards the end there and i gotta give mention to Brad Jones and John Bowe. Havent seen them in the top 5 in a good while.

Skaife/Tander and Murphy/McConville done well but their cars played up.

I dont know what McConville was doing actually Racing whilst his car was spewing out smoke and oil. I thought they made it pretty clear in the drivers briefing to pull off the racing line in such a situation. Perhaps they need to put the hammer down a bit more, expecially with the enduro's as theres so many drivers not normally racing in the series. Alot of others were doing similarly stupid things, like dumping gravel all over the racing line.

Hopefully BJR will have a good Bathurst, what I like about the enduro's, its not always about absolute car speed, a lot of other factors come into play.
I still rate Bowey as a very good enduro racer, just pumping out consistent laps. and keeping out of trouble. Some of the young guns can crank out a few blistering laps, but they havent got the maturity or race smarts of some of the experienced drivers.

Jeez we are rapt if we finish a race weekend with no DNFs and thats a total of 34 laps, let alone 161 laps
