So I have a dilemma..
Alright, here's the story. I'm an Engineering Student at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Our football team is very good this year standing at 8-0 and ranked 15th in the nation. On Thursday night, we'll be playing our Big-East Conference rivals Louisville who are also 8-0, and ranked 3rd in the nation.
Considering this is going to be the most important/hyped AmericanFootball game in the school's 200+ whatever year history and tickets will be SCARCE, the school is making student's pickup the tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. instead of the usual, "Show up at the stadium on game-day, flash your I.D. card and you get in free" deal. Since I'm enrolled here at Rutgers, I get a free ticket to the football game, as long as I show up to the stadium sometime tomorrow (assuming they haven't given out all of the tickets) with my Rutgers ID. Mind you, these are stellar student-section seats, like 30 yards/25 meters or so from the actual playing field. But, this is where it gets interesting.. I had a quick glance on ebay, to see what seats for this game are selling for, and to my amazement, tickets are going for $300-500 a piece, depending on the location and amount of tickets. And now I'm stuck. Do I take my FREE ticket and go to the game, to witness my University's greatest collegiate sporting event ever, or do I make a profit and watch the game on television. Post your opinion and vote.

If I was you I would sell the ticket. Watch it on TV. $300-$500 is alot of money to a student.

I just have to pray there are tickets available in a few hours.. My roomate is actually there 'camped out' (well, he's just hanging out pulling an all-nighter in the stadium parking lot) to get tickets. When I called him a few hours ago he said there were like 300 people there doing the same. It's like the fecking PS3 or something.

What's the worse that could happen? You have to end going to the game. Could be worse. Just get the ticket and try and sell the damn thing.

I think that...While the ticket is definately like $600, going to the game could mean witnessing your school getting whalloped. In which case you might wish you were at home crying into your piles of money.
