How much simpler were those cars from the 80's, before winglets,barge-boards, raised noses and exhaust chimneys etc?...not to mention decent rim-widths!

Heh, indeed it was classic Pikes Peak. There's no exact date with the photo, but it's pre-1968 for sure, very possibly earlier. Jerry Unser Jr. was behind the wheel, who was one of a family of 7 racers, who all had very extensive careers in American motorsport.Originally Posted by blackhonda
