    How much simpler were those cars from the 80's, before winglets,barge-boards, raised noses and exhaust chimneys etc?...not to mention decent rim-widths!
    Btw, Sauc3, your avatar, is that an early Pikes Peak photo?..if so what's the story to go with it?

    Heh, indeed it was classic Pikes Peak. There's no exact date with the photo, but it's pre-1968 for sure, very possibly earlier. Jerry Unser Jr. was behind the wheel, who was one of a family of 7 racers, who all had very extensive careers in American motorsport.

    so you think those were better? imo they looked like overpowered gokarts
    12 cylinders or walk!
