ugg boots may be illegal for the fashion police, but my reckoning was the european shortage was due to lack of supply, not legal concerns

as for the topic at hand, its a shame the avalanche could not have looked as good as the overlander - something quirky about it that is appealing

It's because the Overlander was an Engineering based project instead of a styling exercise. Styling exercises always end up looking overdone.

And the Fashion Police rule Europe with an iron fist. you have been warned.

Looks a bit similar to Opel Frontera. Is this an Overlader, too?

I think it might be done by the same company, but not certified by Holden of course. The site i found it on claimed the conversion could be done for $AUD25000 plus the donor car.

thanks guys for keeping an interest in an awesome machine. I'm lucky enough to own an original. By the looks, there aren't many left. Mine is a ute, number 18 of 23 made that year (78). the dude i bought it off put an injected 304 into it but I'd love to go back to the 308. computers and creeks don't mix. it's truly a fully sic car. shame they were put out of buisness.

Thru the sand it cranks with 45psi in the tyres! Highway use is limited she does about 80km/h @ 2500rpm... made in tasmainia i think it was designed for mountain climbing. smokes up nicely thanks to low ratios. i'm heading out of town for a few weeks but i'll try to get some pic's sorted. cloud 9? yeah, she was always my dream rig.
