Ferrari Enzo GT?

Today I found a link in the net with a pic of Ferrari Enzo with a huge spoiler, obviously not either FXX nor basic Enzo. As far as I understood the French text, it was called Enzo GT and was shot in 2003 in Monza. Or was it just a prototype for Maserati MC12? Could someone who knows French clear the situation please?

It was a Enzo modified to serve as a test mule for the MC12. The thing under the huge spoiler could be radiators, according to the text.

You're welcome.

Interesting mule, I wonder why Ferrari used such a big spoiler though. If they used the car to test the MC12's engine, they didn't need to add that much downforce (if any) considering the MC12's engine is restricted and develops less power... Could it be because the engine's weight is different and altered the balance of the car? Maybe they used the car to test various aerodynamics for the MC12 too...

Is it possible to test MC12's aerodynamics using Enzo body? And yes, that big spoiler puzzled me too... Maybe they wanted to decrease prototype's speed to make it MC12-ish lol..

The “mule”:

On this photograph coming from the http://www.dailysportscar.com/free/tour/news.htm site, one can apparently discover an experimental “mule” from “MC 12”: indeed, knowing that Enzo “WP” is not envisaged at Ferrari, the development cost of such a prototype can be justified only for one new version which would use for base this famous Enzo: one “MC 12” for example…

one can also notice the curious assembly under the aileron (radiator?) and widened ways??

this photo was taken by Stefano Gandolfi in July 2003 on the circuit of Monza.

The MC12 does have a large rear spoiler.

Yes, it obviously does, but it also does have absolutely different body - that was my idea.

They could also be using it for testing the FXX. the huge spoiler may have been used to test the 6.2 liter 800 horses. its just a guess.
