Oh and I don't like how he's reffered to as a teenager...18 is considered an adult.
It doesn't really matter if he's considered an adult by law. He still acted like an immature teenager by braking into private property & going on a joyride of death down the runway.

Despite the seriousness of the accident and "inexperience" etc., there was some proper thought as to where to attempt high speed runs.
Too bad the thought wasn't given more such as, "Can I control the car going this fast?" or "What if a plane lands?"

If I'm not mistaken, it's been reported that many folks use that runway, Mr. Travolta included.

Still a teenager at eighteen. Brain yet to mature at that age

I cant recall seeing a bodyshell so comprehensively 'delaminated' from the floorpan and base structure, as with this wreck
(for cars that haven't gone under a truck etc)

you mean he joyrides, or he reports others joyriding? As i understand hes fighting for further right to use the runway for his planes.

I mean as in, he along with others, fly their planes there quite often.

I think it is so sad when these accidents happen, there was one on a rural road near my house, 4 people in a seat ibiza (I think that was the car) driving on the wrong side of the road and collided with a subaru, all 4 people in the seat were killed, and all were aged 20-22. It's so upsetting thinking that these people could have potentially had long lives ahead of them, and that now, their parents have outlived them because the driver was showing off to his friends after a night out.

Well, then there was the scope for some good to come out of all of this. Honestly, how many teenagers is it worth to get rid of the man behind such egregious wonders as Battlefield Earth???

IN all seriousness, I think he may have taken the planes into account. Most small airstrips like tat have a curfew, and that may account for the choosing to make the run in the dead of night...
