Renault R28

Renault officially presented its 2008 F1 contender today, although there were not exactly too many surprises to report as the car has been pounding the test tracks for a while now.

There are a few interesting details noticeable to the naked eye, most notably the front wing. Some teams this year have gone with the large surface area main wing, some have gone with a heavily scooped middle section, some have gone with a prominent bridge section over the nose. Renault have gone with all three! Something else interesting is the fully cowled exhaust pipe exits. Most teams have left the tips of the exhaust tips largely uncovered, but Renault's are totally covered up with some rather fancy looking aerodynamic pieces.

i wonder if renault will spring back up again in '08 after their average performance last year. Alonso should give them a boost but its the car that matters most. We'll have to wait and see!

I wish they still used the blue/yellow colour scheme that was much better and actually looked like a renault

True, but this livery isn't bad at all.

Phtoto number 4 set number 2 is a really good shot. It looks really natural and realistic even though it is just staged.
