Tamiya 1:12 288 GTO

Tamiya America Item #23211 | 1/12 Ferrari GTO - Semi-Assembled Premium Model

oh yes... it shall be mine... The only one of "the big 4" missing from my 1:12 collection. Been waiting on this one for years.

great car, great model, I would greatly appreciate if Tamiya would do a real kit too.

Nice. Tamiya always makes quality products.

So what are the other 3 cars in your big 4?

F40, F50 and Enzo, I'm guessing

The Tamiya 1:12s are too expensive for me

Maybe.

I've never really bought Tamiya 1:12 scale models. In fact, I've never built any of them. I only have a R/C car that I have yet to run. But through my father, I know that Tamiya makes good models. His childhood hobby was model making. I should pick that hobby up too.

I have a load of tamiyas - Boomerang, Top Force Evo, Dynastorm, Avante, Wild Willy, Taisan Porsche and a monster beetle. Used to be on Tamiya Club till a few years ago. Most of mine are shelf queens apart from the Taisan Porsche.

I even went on a tour of the HQ in Shizouka Japan - now that was cool

Claire

Trying to find a cheap Egress....not going to happen though

you can buy one of those from Revell, they produced them at least 10 years ago, and it was a pretty good model too.

I've got the Tamiya Enzo, Tamiya F50 and Kyosho F40 in 1:12 thus far...

I want the 1:12 Revell 250 GTO, but haven't been able to find one yet...

Quick update. I got the Revell 1:12 250 GTO (in Red no less) - I've got the 1:12 288 GTO on pre-order. It's been delayed several times, but apparently some are shipping this week. I should find out tomorrow when mine is going to ship out...

Finally shipped out to me on Friday... apparently there was flooding at the factory that delayed shipping... hope to have it this week...

the 1/16 Fujimi kit is available again, both in red and in yellow, much cheaper, but needs some work....
