2008 end of year ns.com cruise

Some photos from a meetup and a cruise I partook in yesterday.

Went up the coast from sydney, then inland and south west to a brilliant pub on a river.

Some quick speeds were achieved, and many sideways turns were enjoyed.

As always, click to enlarge.

Yeah clutch, it was basically the exact route we went on from the kids cruise - except we went up a more senic route (old pacific highway) north this time.

Post #2, Pic #2. Is that a new styling fad in the import scene? It looks like ass.
Or are they not finished painting it?
Were there any bosozuku(sp?)-like cars an this cruise?

could be a drift pig, so they'll leave it (import owners have no self respect )
or, they're just not finished but it's still driveable.

Shypo's car (post 2 pic 2 - multi coloured) was a show winning car not four months ago. Its undergoing a widebody conversion, and we made him bring it out before it got painted.

and yes, if your into the "scene" the pig spec cars are quite popular. Because it shows you actually DRIVE the car.

Is "pig spec" like the rat rod movement here?
Not spending a whole bunch of money to restore the car, kinda rebelling against million dollar customs.

Sorry, don't konw much about the import culture.

Pig spec is guys with little money, drifting their cars, and not wanting to spend 500 dollars every time the paint gets scratched or the bar gets cracked.

Its budget spec drifting.

Ok, I get it. That's kinda cool, actually.
It would have pissed me off if it was just somebody copying something that some Japanese guy did and just because it's Japanese it's automatically cool.
I can dig taking driving over looks.
