First loves

What was the first car you ever fell in love with?

Mine was the celica st185, in castrol colors. I saw it in the back of a R/C car magazine and loved it ever since.

Second in line would probably be the audi UR Q. I was thinking back and my dad went to germany or something on business and brought back two 1/24? scale cars (matchbox etc.). I never really realized it, but he got me a Renault Maxi and my brother an Audi URQ in Redblackyellowwhite colors. I always wanted that car.

Mine was the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Ever since i was a kid i loved Astons, and its never changed I used to stick south park figures in the drivers seat in a diecast model, and race it with a Ferrari F40 (which always fell off the cliff )
It still remains my favourite Aston Martin.
Shes just beautiful

Escort with the forest arches and BDA engines

Then later to see ( and hear, hmm ) the Stratos in the forests and service areas and get in-close 1975 RAC ....

and forever the A110. 1973 RAC ....

Not sure how best to describe it, the Escort was first-love, the Stratos was lust and the A110 is infatuation.

Married to the Matra with an Alpine mistress and an Espace 'domestic'

When I was in the third grade I was walking up a stairwell at school which had a bay window in it. As I turned to go up the next flight of stairs I looked out the window to see a brown 1969 Corvette drive by, that moment sparked a love that has been undying since.

Yes, it's Roger Clark's car from his 1972 RAC Rally win with Tony Mason as nav. It did the Safari in '71 and Clark used it in the British series in 72 and 73 befrore the Mk2.

Yep, it's owned by Tony Yendall and is often seen at post-historic rallies and historic motorsport events. QUite likely it could have turned up at Weeton.

A beautifully restored car that STILL gets to be driven in (semi)anger

Cars were crs to me until I was about 6 and discovered Ferrari. I loved them. Period. I would think the first to be the Testarossa, probably second the F40.

Ford Falcon XR8. Its pretty much the only car you will ever fall in love first with if you live in New Zealand... Or a Holden Commodore, for the slighty stupider Australasians...

After that it would be the Subaru WRX, and the Porsche 911...

The first car I really fell in love would be any Corvette, Saleen S7, and obviously the Noble M12 GTO. I also like pretty much any kind of Lotus.
