Lamborghini Diablo SVR #7
Just the above images in higher resolution. Diablo SVR (31 Made 1996) - Sport Voloce The press release issued in Geneva on March 6th, 1996 announced that this monobrand Trophy would last for three years and it would be open to gentlemen drivers as well as professional drivers at the wheel of the SVR, the racing version of the Diablo. What the Press release could not convey is the enthusiasm, the excitement and the pride of all of us in AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI. The company made an enormous effort to complete this project, fighting a vexing timetable; this cooperation of everybody. To fully comprehend what happened it is sufficient to say that the project work started at the beginning of February and the official opening of the Trophy in Le Mans on June 14 th, 1996 saw 28 cars ready to tear away the tarmac of the track. The same number of cars completed this very hard and demanding race without any problems and the satisfaction of all concerned was so great that the nickname " 0 faults operation " was applied to the occasion. After a brilliant start an exciting and wild Championship followed, full of surprises and breathtaking moments at high speed on the best European racing tracks, from Nurburgring to Anderstorp, Brands Hatch, Spa. Words are not sufficient to convey the emotions that derive from the sight of this racing Diablo: only the images or, better, the attendance at the racing track pay justice to the beauty and speed of the cars. Equally difficult is to describe the skill of the drivers, who, push themselves to the limit to offer the spectators and the enthusiasts of this Monobrand Trophy, a show worthy of its name, the name of AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI.
