It'll be interesting to see whether or not this blatant case of team orders is penalised..

Massa gave up his win in Brazil 07 for Kimi.....Kimi let Massa past at China 08, Heikki let Hamilton past to win this very race 2 years ago IIRC.

Given the 4 second lead it does appear that Massa was significantly slower, too.

Oh...almost forgot the team telling Button to back off 'because of fuel' at Turkey when he and Ham were locking wheels.(after the Webber/Vettel tangle)

Not long before the order Massa was 3.5 seconds ahead of Alonso.

Personally, whilst i feel it was clearly a case of team orders, i think Ferrari shouldve been given a reprimand or something equivalent. Theres been plenty of cases where the message has been the driver behind is faster, but they were left unpunished. Although i dont know how many had the previous leaders engineer come on the radio and apologize. That couldve been the bit that caught Ferrari out here.

I don't get why in a sport that is open to two-car teams only, team orders are banned.

so the criticial lines are:
"Alonso is faster than you, understood?" (via the board radio to Massa) This gave him two options: To go faster and match the speed of Alonso, (which he was able to do in the first part of the race) or To think about the position of his teammate in the championship and hand him five points extra. He did the latter, I think that the cryers like Jordan and Lauda should understand that F1 is no longer a sport but a multi million dollar business, aiming at financial rather than traditional sport results. At least what Ferrari did was far more effective than the charade in Turkey, where the Red Bull drivers greatly compromised the team interests.
