You need a 100MM throttle body and manifold. And then Thumper Cams. And then Hooker Headers. and then some Flowmasters. Then you'll have a kickass sound. and power to boot.

Yeah the sound is barely noticeable. its just a little bit deeper in my opinion but just a little.
I plan on stopping at headers/exhaust

exhaust, OTR intake and mafless tune seems to be all the rage here for LS series engines in commodores.. seems to net 30-50hp (depending..) and improved mpg

I have been averaging about 28 or so on highway drives and about 15-18 in town when i can force myself to take it easy!
