The first time I saw a picture of the concept, I thought it was a bit weird. Now, the styling has really grown on me, and I love it! (I think the fact it has a rwd v8 hemi had something to do with it!) Great proportions, I love the "chopped" look to it. I also like how the wheels are pushed out to the corners with little overhang. Supposedly it has a great weight distrobution. (much better than it's predecessor.) Almost all car magazines are giving it great reviews, and from what I've read, owner satisfaction is quite high.
I've heard rumors that this platform (LX) may be offered in a police package. Does anyone have any info on that? Also, what do you think of the Dodge Magnum? What do you think of the possible 2006 Dodge Charger? would you buy one? What's the probable price range? You've gotta give kudos to Chrysler for having the gonads for building a car that America has almost given up on: The full-size, rear drive, v8 sedan. I wonder how it tests against the Mercury Maurader! (I'd bet on the 300C!)

There was just a base 300 at my school the other day(some people from corporate were in, I assume one of theirs) and my friend and I were amused at the fact that we were marveling over a family sedan, and a Chrysler one at that. I really like the looks of them, I've seen a total of about 10 now, all of which are either white or a sage green, I'd love to see the car in black. I'm also curious to see the new Magnum as well.

I've seen a black one around Raleigh a couple times, it looks pretty nice. It would make a good limo. It's got such classy lines, I can see it as a limo easier than as a cop car.

I think it's an absolutely amazing car, Currently the best American sedan to date. The only thing IMO it has to have the lower profiled wheels otherwise it looks odd to me, huge sidewall tires do not complement this car too well. I'm curious as to what the weight distribution is on this car, I'm guessing it has a little front bias, but only a little. Hopefully this car will be a complete 180 for Chrysler it's what they need!

And have you seen the new Crossfire roadster?
The coupe looks pretty good but dang the ragtop looks totally hot. And the Crossfire was already outselling the Audi TT and the BMW Z4 even before the roadster came out.

In the past few days, I've seen a couple 300s and one black 300C. It had fairly low profile tires (18''), and chromed door handles. Simply amazing. I read in a newspaper article that it is rumored to become a cop car. I also read some info at www.allpar.com about how Chrysler is going to make and LX cop car soon (LX meaning the platform of the 300, the Magnum, and in the future: the Charger)

Nice! that would be much cooler than the dull Crown Victories we are used to here in the states.

An excellent modern interpretation of classic American muscle! It's amazing how much hype Chrysler has gotten over this car. Imagine: an American car company is being rewarded for making an American car! Who would've thought?

Is the Charger going to be four or two door? I think a two door version of this car would be awsome! Put a six-speed manual behind it and you have the recipe for a Pony killer! I've also heard the the 300 will be getting the SRT treatment of a supercharger in the near future!

While we're on the subject of the 300C has anyone seen a Dodge Magnum yet? I saw my first one yesterday and think they look pretty sharp. I like both it and the 300C quite well.

At first when I saw sketches and bad photos of the prototypes and pre-production cars, I was afraid DaimlerChrysler were bringing the defunct Mitsubishi Proudia to the Americas (like Nissan bringing Japan-only models as intermediate Infinitis).
Then despite my usual reluctance as squarish shapes, I found the car itself rather good-looking. Given the positive feedback it gets I guess it’s also good on the mechanical and dynamic sides of things. |

I think a stock 300C is still a pony-killer, although there's only one pony left to kill! The higher end Cobras need some competition, though. The SRT-8 that's in the works is going to have 425hp from a 6.1L Hemi, and is going to be naturally aspirated!
