Gotten A Car

And its a lovely Nissan Sentra! 6 years old, low milage, and 1.8L of glory! The only issue was an odor that followed the past owner wherever he went (may he rest in peace). A good bit of Febreeze cured that.

Now, its time to start souping this baby up! I want to do the basic things, I'm thinking of putting in a chip, a high flow intake snorkel, and a Flowmaster Hushpower muffler. I want to start with the chip. Does anyone know a good company that makes chips for my car?

I'm with him.

However, a good set of tires is never a bad thing. I don't mean heavy, low profile rims, just a good set of rubber on the stock rims and a good alignment can really make the car drive better. Forget about the intakes and exhaust. In most cases they make noise, not power.

Buying a sportier car isn't an option for a looooong time. Unless I can get a clunker project car. But I don't see that happening either.

Leave it stock and hypermile the living $%@#$ out of it. 40+mpg is possible. Put your fuel savings into a fast car fund.

No, but he wasn't in the habit of showering very often. Half a bottle of Febreeze and several air fresheners helped relieve the smell but its one of those smells that soaks into fabric and lingers, much to my dismay.

Make sure you check under the seats and whatnot for.. leftovers. Maybe even remove them for a thorough cleaning, should help a lot with the smell. Don't want anyone else's human slime in your ride.

Yeah, do a real sweep of the car, try and do a complete inside cleaning, and leave a container with some 'sodium bicarbonate' inside, it'll help with the smell.

If it's bad enough you can get "bombs" to eliminated odors. A lot of rental car companies use them.
