The Benz would eat the BMW. The Benz does the 1/4 in under 13 sec!

Ok

1) Which E55?
The 1999 - 2002 model
With a 354bhp normally aspirated V8

Or the 2003 model, with a 476bhp supercharged V8

2) Which 850Ci?
The 1993 - 1994 300bhp version

Or the 1994 - 1999 326bhp version

3) Why do you wish to compare a four seater coupe, initially developed in the late 1980's, with a four seater saloon developed in the mid 1990's?

Yes the E55 would win (any of them)

The Benz has 479hp and 516lb-ft of torque. It's supercar quick with all the comforts of any MB sedan.

The 476 bhp Merc vs the 326 bhp Beemer:

The merc would destroy the beemer!

i dont see why you want to compare those two cars.. they are sooo different and the are not even closely in the same class...

Ok then...

Why do you think a 476 hp Benz, with a modern chassis design, and advanced electronics could beat an 80's BMW, with 140 less hp, and 200kg more to carry round?

That doesn't change the fact that it was initially developed 15 years before the W211.
